saying sorry...

why is it that some people find it hard to admit they're incompetent :b and apologize? i was on the phone with a supplier which i have tried to contact numerous times in order to get specs for artwork. everytime i left a message, no one would call me back. FINALLY i got a hold of someone. i explained the situation and that i never received word from their department.

me: I've called your department 3 times in the past 2 weeks requesting specifications for the artwork that needs to be submitted to Graphics by April 2nd. Each time I had to leave a message for someone to get back to me. And I never heard a word from...
Pat: Oh, what's your fax number?
me: Um, xxx.xxx.xxxx
Pat: I'll fax the specs to you today.
me: Thank you.
