shrinkage...

i was running some errands this morning when i thought i'd just drop into a few stores on W 41st... of course, i had to peek into Hill's on Kerrisdale to see what was goin' down.

i found a Juicy Couture double v-neck layer top for 50% off in a size medium! i tried it on and it fit a bit big on me... :( i'm a size small at most, but it was a deal i just couldn't pass up. so i decided i would try to shrink it at home and see what happens... :b

i am happy to report that it was a success! i popped it in the washing machine and set the machine to wash in hot water and rinse in warm on the delicate cycle. once it was done, i popped it into the dryer (along with a bounce sheet of course!) and set the timer to hot air dry for 1 hour.

and voila! :) i just tried it on and it shrank down to almost a full size! :) now i'm just letting it bake in the dryer for 30 minutes or so.. just to let it cool down slowly.

so i think it was a success! :D i just hope it'll be ok and won't decide to stretch the next time i wash it in cold...
