spontaneous reaction

i got up, grabbed JW and we set out to do some shopping -- not downtown or W. 4th or Granville -- but all the way to SEATTLE! :D hahahah talk about spontaneous :P i wasn't going to go cause i had got up late but after JW's morning ritual, we headed down at 1pm and just got back :)

i normally wouldn't drive down on my own because of my back, but i really need to get away and do some serious thinking. so what a better way to spend the day -- SHOP (something i love to do ;) ), spend some time with JW, AND give me some time to do some of that thinking while riding the I5.

we chuckled about the kumsheen drive, laughed at his birth certificate photo, and chatted about nothing while listening to the 2 new Il Divo CDs he had gotten me. :D

we got to the outlets and JW raided Nike and Puma, walking away with some Xmas gifts and an AWESOME pair of Pumas! yes, i was jealous! too bad i'm not a size 10 men's :P

i bought a pair of tall brown suede boots :D and a couple of small Xmas gifts. the boots were probably the most impractical purchase ever. with the weather we get in van, ts going to be a B*TCH to keep them in good condition! sigh... the sacrifices we make for fashion :P i actually was looking for a pair of black boots but they were sold out :( oh well... the hunt continues...

we headed downtown, got lost (hahahaha) but i asked for directions (!), and stopped at a couple of stores. we stopped by See's Candies but they were closed :( at around 8, we had dinner at Thai Ginger, ran around trying to find me a washroom :P, then headed back onto the I5 to go home! :)

i had to get gas, so we stopped at Alderwood Mall and after pumping gas, i got lost again! sheesh.. i'm so bad with my sense of direction. after a few loops, we found I5 North and we were back on the highway singing our hearts out (or rather *i* was singing while JW was trying to sleep) :P

lots of fun for a spontaneous trip... got to do some good thinking on the road. thanks for coming with me JW! :) *hug*
