You know how some kids just drive you crazy? and some kids are so sweet and adorable that you cant help but just give them a hug? Then there are kids who, I swear, are zombies and no matter what you do or say, they just wont skate. Well, I've got all of the above in all my classes this year -- my weekday classes especially =b My weekend classes, I absolutely adore. :D Surprisingly, I learn a lot from these little 3-5 year old critters every week, like the current "in" cartoon (Sponge Bob). Even asking them a simple question like, "What's your favourite colour?" -- if one kid says "Red!", magically, that becomes every kids favourite colour too! ;) The thing that really makes my heart smile is when I see one kid help another in my class. When Peter falls on the ice, Jenny would perform her perfect snowplow stop, smile at me, and then turn around and hobbles back to help Peter get up. It's SO cute! :D

Little kids are so innocent at that age. They are so willing to help without thinking twice. But somehow, sometime down the line when they start growing up, they get corrupted =b and turn into little brats ;) Heh... ok only some of them do.

Oh... and I lost my axel again today... :(

CRAP... what a CRAPPY skate. Yes, she yelled. Yes, she embarassed me. Yes, I feel like a total retard. Stupid thing is, after my lesson, when my coach left the ice, I tried to do everything she told me to do and applied it to my double sal and toe.

I over-rotated both jumps and almost did a triple.

I HATE it when she's right...

Ok.. I'm a sucker. Went to www.emode.com and did the IQ test. My score was 126 and my intellectual type is a Precision Processor. I quote: This means you're exceptionally good at discovering quick solutions to problems, especially ones that involve math or logic. You're also resourceful and able to think on your feet.

... REALLY? =b I'm not sure I like being placed in that category ;)

YAY! another great skating morning :) FINALLY got my axel back -- landed it cleanly... let's hope it wasnt a fluke. Fell on my ass doing my double sal and toe a few times. The last fall I took I landed on my left butt cheek but the rest of my body kept travelling and my head whipped back against the ice -- OUCH. Well, I'm a little light-headed today... let's hope my neck doesnt get sore tomorrow :(

Heh, I'll get some pictures or a video up when I can actually land my doubles consistently again!

Hurray for ME!!! Now how should I celebrate?

What a productive morning! :D Skated for 2 hours straight and had two awesome lessons. Looks like I'll be taking my Foxtrot ice dance test this November (!!). I got my Axel back and my double jumps are getting stronger :). At least my coach didnt yell at me today. I think eating breakfast helped a lot =b. I usually get up too late to have breakfast. But today, I had enough time to eat a banana, some crackers, and had a small glass of grape juice. That's probably still not enough. I'm going to try yoghurt, and putting some peanut butter on my crackers Thursday morning before I skate again.
